The Elves' Shipping Song
We do our best to serve the rest
Of boys and girls in different worlds
Who celebrate a Christmas date
That's mostly in December.
We make the toys for girls and boys
We make them right with all our might
We work all year round with heads to the ground
It really picks up in September.
What Santa likes are toys and bikes
And dolls and cars or pink guitars
Over the years with yells and cheers
He gives kids lots to remember.
What boys and girls like to do Christmas night
Is go to bed early and sleep really tight
Get up in the morning with parents still yawning
Take a peek in their stockings, so tender.
"Santa was here!" A kid shouts with cheer.
"He knew I was good!" (And his folks understood)
"Santa," he said, "has a really good head"
"He remembered my toy, what a memory!" Santa's Hymn - Hands and Hearts make it Possible
Lend me your hearts To help pave the way Let's sit a moment to ponder our load The Naughty and Nice List is here, let's unfold But sometimes a "Nice" one has a "Naughty" cohort Let's hope we can help the "Naughties" change course And bring joy to their parents (We'll hear them rejoice!) Let's get it all finished before Christmas Eve / Chorus We know we've been faithful We know we've been true We know you are calling There’s much work to do. The Elf Fight Song Sometimes when life gets confusing, you know You have to hang in there and go with the flow Are you going too fast? Are you going too slow? You're not really sure. You just don't know.
But one thing you do know and this is for sure If you give it your best shot, you'll always endure. So hang in there, Elf, don't throw in the towel Victory is coming, and soon you will yowl!
Poem - Ian asks himself, "Can I be a Leader?"
I often wonder what it'll take if I'm really going to succeed. Management rules are based upon processes, order, control You can't just do a part of them; you've got to do the whole. Leadership, on the other hand, is expressing human spirit And to become a successful leader, you have to want to do it. How then, I ask myself, will I know when I have become one? The answer is really simple Elf; you'll soon be having more fun. Leadership is a process whereby leaders and followers unite To accomplish lots of mutual goals that need to be just right. We are all leaders and followers at different points in time Can't have one without the other, you know, it just won't rhyme. Elves express their leadership when they act as part of a whole And to really be successful then you've got to know your role. To discover a role in this elf s world you have to be part of the group You have to work together as a soldier does in a troop. So, in this journey of discovery your aim has got to be this: To develop the potential in others and to promise you won't be remiss. Poem - The Viking Venture
Long, long ago, some Vikings ventured out To see the world as others did; what was it all about? They sailed all day, they sailed all night, so far away from home They used the sun and many stars and reckoning to roam.
They saw Iceland and Greenland and many other lands They used their sails when windy, but often used their hands They paddled with a vision and knew that they would reach A new land with green trees and a bright golden beach.
When their roaming days were over and they settled down again They found their homes in many lands with challenges and then They told their stories gladly for they were very proud They'd found a silver lining to put upon their cloud.
Lend me your hands if willing, today
The "Nice" list is long and the ''Naughty'' is short
So on with the list, we've got lots to achieve
What do I have to do with my life if I want to learn to lead?
